It dries to a rock-hard, non-porous finish that won’t chip, crack, or peel, and it prevents rust from recurring by protecting metal from further exposure to moisture. POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating is sensitive to UV light and must be top coated when prolonged exposure to sunlight is possible. Top coating is not required for areas not exposed to sunlight.

Topcoat when surface will have exposure to UV light.

This was my first time using something like this. I liked it alot, laid down super well and wasn't drippy when using thin layers as should. I did make sure everything I coated was cleaned and scuffed down to get all the dirt/rust particles off it. I coated some uly rusty looking suspension parts on my car and some pieces here and there on my old car. Takes awhile to dry but worth the wait, I will note I did get semi gloss and I'm not sure if it's the same for full gloss but when it dried it dried a matte color not shiny like when first applied, I'm not a huge fan of matte and it kinda looks tacky sometimes but still happy with results!
