Helmet fits securely. Seems to be well made. Pleased with the purchase. (This is my first helmet).Love the helmet, it fits nicely and snug. I like the MIPS safety feature. Lightweight, comfortable and plenty of ventilation. The only downside to this is the limited styles available, so I had to settle for the matte black. Oh well, I guess I will have to get stickers. I love the transition shield which is very convenient, makes seeing at night easier and tints up during the day. I have an Arai helmet, which is 4 times more expensive and it’s a pain cause I have to flip up the visor at night in order to see. In doing so, I get hit by bugs. If you have just a clear visor installed, I get blinded by the sun, so you have to mess around carrying sunglasses with you.i can’t say if it saved my life or not but it for sure saved my face. buying two more for my girlfriend and iThis is my second bell qualifier dlx helmet. My first one, being a couple years old at this point, has the transitions visor. Whereas this one has the protint visor. They both function identically, but the transitions visor gets noticeably darker in direct sunlight. That's my only gripe, other than that, love my bells.I bought this for the Mips and the transition shield. I really feel much safer just knowing the Mips technology is in the helmet. I also LOVE the transition shield. Here are my thoughts a month later:Mips - I really do feel safer with the Mips technology. I hope I never need it but it is reassuring just knowing it's thereTransition Shield - Best shield I've ever had or seen. I have really sensitive eyes and in the past have either worn sunglasses inside a clear shield or purchased smoke shields to block out the sun. Sunglasses can get uncomfortable and just add another layer to look through. Smoke shields work well until you get caught in the rain or out a little later than usual and can't see well out of them. This shield is clear when the sun isn't really bad and tinted when it is bright out. I wasn't sure if it would be dark enough, did I mention I have sensitive eyes? It works like a charm. When you're wearing it it seems like it's not working but I never squint and I see very clearly regardless of light condition. Thumbs up.Noise - I almost deducted a star because everyone is correct, it can be a little noisy at higher speeds. I even purchased the bluetooth intercom system made for the helmet thinking it would block some of the noise but it doesn't. The noise definitely comes from that area, as others have stated. However, I had an Arai helmet previously and it had lots of air circulation in it and was just as noisy. The noise is not overwhelming, no need for earplugs or anything else. It's just wind noise and I realize it's keeping me cooled. It's like any other helmet that offers good circulation if that helps. It is a good balance of both noise and breath-ability so I left the last star on.Size - Buy a size up for sure. I was really worried about buying the wrong size. I read all the comments and there were enough people saying buy a size up so I did. Really glad I did.Weight - After a prior neck surgery this was a big concern for me. I was looking at all the weights before buying. I knew ahead of time it wasn't as light as my Arai but that was an $800 helmet. I researched this quite a bit and in this price range it was one of the lightest I could find that still offered a great deal of safety and circulation. I will note that I purchased an HJC for riders and the HJC is a little lighter for what it's worth. However, it doesn't feel heavy and I don't even notice the weight when riding.Visibility - Nice big viewing area and as noted, crystal clear. It also has not fogged up yet even when riding when hot and muggy out. A+I was bummed that I didn't read more carefully! They discontinued the port and the description did say that, but I missed it! Otherwise it's an awesome helmet!I purchased this helmet for two reasons; the photochromic (transitions) visor and the MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System).I don't know why more helmet manufacturers haven't gone to photochromic visors. They eliminate the need for wearing sunglasses in the helmet, or monkeying around with flip-down internal sunshades in the helmet. It should be noted that of the two helmets I've owned that had internal flip-down sun screens, both of them severely interfered with the TFT (Thin Film Transistor) instrument display on my motorcycle. The polarization of the sun screens rendered the TFT completely unviewable (it made the instruments look like a screen of hazy rainbow-colored hues). I thought I was catching a "freebee" from the 70's. This is not the case with the visor on this helmet. The view of my TFT instruments is crystal clear regardless of the hue of the visor. This is also very helpful to me as my morning commute occurs before sunrise, and the afternoon commute home happens in broad daylight.MIPS technology is just a good idea all around. It mimics the brain housing group's methods of protecting the brain in an impact, only instead of having a layer of fluid between the brain and skull that allows them to move independently (as in the brain housing group), the helmet shell and interior padding move independently of each other during an impact. I've never suffered a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), and I never want to start. MIPS is a hedge against such an event.Ignore the nonsense, this is an amazing helmet at its price point. Great ventilation, comfort, and a smaller shell profile than my scorpion exo, with better aero for highway rides. transition visor and MIPS. what's more to say? a little less quiet than my exo, but better ventilation as a trade-off (not to mention cheaper). this is the one.Ligero, aerodinámicamente excelente, puedes girar la cabeza a mas de 140 kms/hr y no pierdes control, buen aislamieno acústico, con buena ventilación. Y la mica transitions te ayuda a solo ocupar una mica!!!
